Dr. Praveen Sharma P is a neurologist with 5 years of experience, presently serving as a Consultant and a Parkinson’s disease & Movement Disorders Specialist at Apollo Speciality Hospital, Jayanagar, Bangalore. He completed his MBBS from M.S.Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital and MD General Medicine from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute. He has a DM Neurology degree from NIMHANS, Bangalore and completed his post-doctoral fellowship in movement disorders at NIMHANS. At NIMHANS, he actively participated in 20 Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgeries for patients with Parkinson’s Disease and Dystonia. He is proficient in Botulinum Toxin injections (BOTOX) for dystonias (writer’s cramps, facial spasms, neck dystonia etc.) and programming of DBS pacemakers. He has several papers to his credit in national and international journals. He has actively participated in national and international neurology & movement disorders conferences.
